St. Paul, Minn. — Merrill Corporation (www.merrillcorp.com), a global provider of secure content sharing, regulated communications and compliance services, has named Kris Slethaug Vice President of Marketing Communications and Operations.
In his new role, Slethaug will lead Merrill's efforts to reshape its brand, build its thought-leadership, and create a world-class demand generation platform. He will be based in Merrill's midtown New York City office, reporting to Chief Marketing Officer Alan Scott.
“We welcome Kris to the Merrill team,” said Scott. “He has a full range of global marketing skills, and a demonstrated ability to drive change. Kris will accelerate Merrill's plans to expand its brand presence, reach new markets, and connect with customers in unique and valuable ways.”

His international experience includes running field marketing in Asia Pacific for Dow Jones' Factiva division, and working in Tokyo for the Nikkei Group's financial information group.
“I'm thrilled to join the company at this transformative time,” said Slethaug. “Merrill is rapidly extending its brand, improving its technology-enabled offerings and creating valuable client experiences. I’m looking forward to being part of its success.”
