In today's frothy valuation market, realizing value in the private equity arena is an increasingly complex endeavor. Despite record amounts of dry powder, the number of global deals in 4Q 2017 dropped by 25.8% to 1,506. Meanwhile, the combined value of add-on deals jumped 13.6% to $79.3B YoY and median deal sizes rose 13.4% to $35.3M.
