Merrill returns to Chestertons Polo in the Park

Nav Dhillon, Events Manager | June 18, 2018

On Saturday 9th June, Merrill Corporation hosted over 200 guests at one of our flagship yearly events. For the 8th year running, we returned to West London’s historic Hurlingham Park in Fulham, host to the largest and certainly most fun polo tournament in Europe.

Combining world-class sport, restaurants and Europe’s longest outdoor Champagne bar, it was the perfect setting for our guests to kick-off the summer season in style. We were also glad to begin celebrating Merrill’s 50th year of operation. With 50 years of expertise under our belts, we were honoured to be able to celebrate this with some of our clients who helped us reach this fantastic milestone.

Our guests were treated to the full VIP experience enjoying the day in Merrill’s exclusive enclosure, feasting on an abundance of gourmet food and free-flowing beverages. This high-profile event attracts a spectrum of influential leaders and opinion-formers, presenting Merrill and its clients the opportunity to expand their network and build valuable relationships in a relaxed and exclusive setting.

On the field, teams representing six different cities from around the world competed over three days. Chestertons Polo in the Park simplifies the traditional rules of polo so that newcomers can follow the action without any prior knowledge of the game. The unique format of fast and furious polo alongside the interesting commentary helped to build the excitement on the day.

In addition, guests relished the opportunity to “Stomp the Divots” at half-time. The feedback on the day was fantastic and our clients had a great time. There were many memorable moments from the day and we are thrilled to have captured it all!
