On Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Merrill Corporation, in association with Takara Printing, hosted a number of important clients at Italian restaurant XEX Nihonbashi to thank them for their loyalty and give them a sneak peek at our latest innovation.
The discovery booth, manned by Gary Judd, Regional Director, Product Management, APAC, provided us some constructive feedback on our latest virtual data room solution, which intrigued guests and was well-received. Participants at the booth were entered in a lucky draw, the winner of which received a set of Beats headphones.
Along with the discovery session, attendees enjoyed speeches from both Merrill and Takara, thanking them for their involvement that evening, as well as in the past and future.
The event, which commemorated Merrill’s new office in the Otemachi business district and one-year anniversary with Takara Printing, also featured a traditional sake barrel opening ceremony. This practice – known as Kagami biraki – literally translates as ‘opening the mirror’, and stems from a samurai tradition dating back to the 15th century.
Clients at the event included representatives from Mitsubishi UFJ, Nomura, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Black Rock, BNY Mellon, Citi and PwC.
