An on-site, full-service document solution
Merrill’s Document Service Centers (DSCs) offer a single-source document management solution to the legal industry. Professionally staffed and equipped, our centers are on-site and offer resources tailored to client specifications, from basic copying, mailroom management and equipment leasing to complex, technology-based document services such as desktop publishing, imaging, electronic scanning, storage and retrieval and distribution. Merrill also provides large-scale litigation copying, document imaging and coding on a transactional basis.
For document reproduction, paper documents are often dispensed in multiple files with varying paper sizes and binding techniques, then typically are offered to clients for a specific litigation matter, ranging in volume from just a few files to millions of pages. Larger reproduction services are generally conducted for high profile and complex cases that continue for several months or years. Reproduction projects are time-sensitive, highly confidential and often require rapid turnaround.
For imaging and coding services, we convert documents from paper to an electronic medium using scanning equipment. We then provide the images to the client on CD-ROM or through the Internet using Merrill Discovery Navigator®. Each page can be coded with various parameters including author, document type, title, primary recipient and carbon and blind copy recipients.
