SW Development Director - Oracle 11i ERP

Responsibilities

This Director is responsible to set the overall direction, plan, and execute projects for Merrill's enterprise finance, accounting, billing, and human resources systems. Other shared systems such as the corporate Intranet, the merrillcorp.com website, and CRM systems are also included in the scope of this position. Duties involve systems architecture, project planning and prioritization, personnel supervision and career development, for the Corporate Information Technology development team. This position works closely with key members of the corporate finance team to formulate and prioritize projects, and also with members of the Corporate Operations technical services group to ensure system performance and availability.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following attributes... • 8-10 years of professional information technology experience • 5 years of supervisory or Project Management experience with technical professionals • Practical finance and accounting knowledge • Experience with enterprise finance / ERP systems (Oracle Financials required) • A proven track record of solid results delivering systems that change the business • Strong influencing and team building skills • Excellent communications skills • Planning and project management skills Challenges that I see with this position are... • In conjunction with SCS, develop a plan to integrate the businesses using the St. Cloud-based Alliance system into the Oracle financials system. • Leverage corporate finance data into the business areas by making it readily available in a user-friendly form on the corporate Intranet and with tools such as Oracle Discoverer. • Develop a vision and project list for future finance systems work, working closely with the Corporate Controller and the finance staff. • Set and maintain systems for refreshing content on the corporation web site (www. merrillcorp.com). • Plan and execute upgrades to the Oracle ERP system and related databases as they become available and stable. • Further develop and integrate the Merrill billing system into all of the business units. • Implement sourcing systems such as iProcurement.

Bachelors degree. Minimum 10 years professional information technology experience.
