Sourcing Director

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and implementation of purchasing strategies for an assigned unit. Ensures purchasing strategy reflects diverse requirements of internal line/operation clients and geographic regions. Responsible for supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. Focuses resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Position is a second-level manager and manages a group of first-level managers. In addition to work assignment, responsibilities include career development, performance management and pay determination and communication.

Bachelors degree. Minimum 10 years professional operations experience, including managerial experience.
