Merrill Corporation Launches Powerful EDD Product for Legal Industry
Merrill Discovery Navigator Version 3 reduces time and expenses for law firms
St. Paul, Minn. — Merrill Corporation, a leading global provider of technology-enabled services for the legal, financial, real estate and other corporate markets, today announced the introduction of Merrill Discovery Navigator Version 3 (MDN V3), an electronic data discovery (EDD) tool for attorneys that can eliminate up to 40 percent in review time and expenses when compared to non-integrated eDiscovery solutions.
MDN V3 is the first EDD review tool to combine time- and cost-saving features with Merrill’s efficient work flow process in an application that scales to millions of documents per case. MDN V3 enhances law firms’ ability to intelligently acquire knowledge from the pool of review documents, allowing attorneys and legal assistants to quickly surface responsive documents, eliminate non-relevant material and expedite the review process.
Merrill has partnered with PureDiscovery on the new service and adopted their EXgrid architecture to power MDN V3.
“Throughout our 15 years of experience in litigation support development, we’ve focused on continually improving our products and services by leveraging the latest technology,” said Brad Smuland, Information Systems Vice President of Merrill Legal Solutions. “MDN V3 provides significant advantages for law firms that seek to cut time and expenses by improving their ability to search, sort, organize and analyze their discovery database.”
MDN V3 offers a variety of tangible benefits. Automatic foldering and native file review capabilities reduce time and expenses. Merrill’s nationwide presence and distributed data centers ensure that MDN V3 can be scaled to meet the largest and most demanding cases. In addition, Merrill’s MDN workflow engine, coupled with a role-based interface and robust reporting module, improves workflow and production.
“We are very excited to offer this new business solution to our clients,” stated Al McNee, President of Sales for Merrill Legal Solutions. “MDN V3 is a product that sets the bar in the marketplace, offering a powerful yet easy-to-use solution to the legal industry.”
MDN V3 is a product of Merrill Legal Solutions, extending Merrill’s position as a leading global provider of technology-enabled on-demand and on-site business solutions to the world’s largest law firms and corporate legal departments. Merrill Legal Solutions provides document management services, litigation technology services, court reporting services, on-site office services and adjacencies such as financial printing, document translations and engraving.
